OUR POLICIES

Vaccination records must be turned in prior to the first night of class. We require the following vaccinations: Bordetella (kennel cough), distemper and the rabies (for dogs 14 weeks and older). Dog(s) must have a negative fecal sample checked within the last year. Dogs that are unable to receive vaccinations for health reasons must have documentation from their veterinarian stating that the dog is free of disease within thirty days prior to the start of training class. Owners and handlers enter their dog(s) in the class at their own risk. Dogs will not be permitted to participate in class without proper documentation of vaccinations.

Puppies entering the puppy socialization class need to have a first veterinary visit with a healthy status documented if not old enough to receive their first vaccine or have proof of their first distemper vaccine. Throughout the duration of the class participants will be expected to continue to provide verification of updated vaccine boosters as recommended by their veterinarian.

Training Class Registration Form must be turned in prior to the first night of class. Class fees are non-refundable and due at the time of registration.

You will need a four or six foot leash; we do not accept retractable leashes or choke collars in our classes. You may use a buckle collar, gentle leader or harness. A treat bag that contains soft bite-sized treats for easy access.

All dogs must enter the facility on a leash. Please be aware of other dogs in the lobby when entering and exiting. Ask before allowing your dog to visit with others.

Owners/handlers must clean up after their dogs and dispose of the waste properly.

Dogs must be supervised by an adult owner/handler at all times. One dog per adult handler only. If you have multiple dogs enrolled in the same class, you are expected to find multiple adult handlers.

Children must be at least five years of age to attend class and accompanied by an adult. Children are welcome as long and they are not a distraction to others in the class.

Missed classes cannot be made up.

Female dogs in heat will not be allowed to attend class; however the owner/handler may attend. If your dog comes down with a contagious illness the dog and handler may not attend the class unless cleared by a veterinarian.

Payment Policy: Payment is expected at the time of registration. Failure to pay will result in administrative withdrawal from the class. We accept the following types of payment: Master Card, Visa, Discover, personal checks, and cash. Class spots are reserved as payment is received along with registration form and vaccination records.

Attendance: Is expected every week to pass the class. If you need to miss a class, please notify our office. You will be able to receive the handouts from the missed class the following class session. If weather conditions become too dangerous to have class, our staff will call you and let you know that class will be cancelled. We will make up the missed training class session.
